These ornaments are made by an artist named Anthony DeNardis, out of Milan Mi. He is the owner of Mooreville Pottery.
"The perfect gift. Hand made, glazed, kiln fired and ready to place in your home. Dishwasher, microwave and food safe glazes.
Measurement: All ornaments have at least one maximum dimension of 5 inches. The other dimensions are smaller than 5 inches (dimensions vary by state shape).
These ornaments are made in stages. They begin as a stoneware clay slab. A state shape cookie cutter is used to make the design. Real sand texture is added to the bottom of each ornament. They are bisque fired in a kiln, then glazed. Again to go through the kiln and fired a second time to a higher temp so the glaze will mature. It takes approximately another 24 hours to cool.
ALL ornaments come in a square 5.5 x 5.5 inch gift box."
